This article presents an analysis of collaborative remembering sequences in a corpus of interactions collected in a workplace where a team of designers developed a video television commercial. Collaborative inhibition and collective memory were comparable between ethnically Diverse triads (one Asian, Black/African American, White each) and Uniform triads (three White members). At the same time, in diverse groups Black/African American members contributed less during collaboration and did not show post-collaborative recall benefits. Previous studies showed that collaborative remembering can reduce false memories through a process of mutual error checking, although conclusions were limited by the nature of the memory tasks (very few errors).
